New Delhi: A 25-year-old woman was kidnapped and gang-raped in a moving car in South Delhi’s Vasant Vihar area on June 16.

The Delhi police have detained three people in connection with the case after the woman filed a complaint.

The woman, accompanied by a female friend, was returning home after watching a movie at PVR Priya in Vasant Vihar in south Delhi around 3.15 am when she was kidnapped.

In her police complaint, the woman said the accused raped her inside the moving car before dumping her near Poorvi Marg in the Vasant Vihar area.

The victim went through a medical test and after confirmation of rape an FIR was filed against the accused, said the police.
The woman’s friend called the police control room immediately when the woman was kidnapped. She later told the police that the two of them were walking towards Munirka when the three men approached them in a car.

The car was traced since the victim’s friend had noted down its registration number.
