According to a report published by the Centre For Media Studies (CMS), the BJP’s poll expenditure has been the highest. Of the total Rs 60,000 crore spent during the elections, the BJP spent Rs 27,000 crore – nearly 45%. In the past twenty years, the poll expenditure in Lok Sabha Elections has increased six times and Rs 100 crore was spent on each parliamentary constituency in 2019.
