Watch | The ‘Toolkit’ Explained: Police Arrest ‘Key Conspirators’ but What’s the Crime?

The Wire breaks down what a ‘toolkit’ is and if it really is as conspiratorial and seditious a document as the Delhi Police seems to believe.

On Saturday, February 13, the Delhi Police arrested 22-year old climate activist Disha Ravi in connection with the sedition conspiracy case it has filed over a ‘toolkit’ aimed at organising peaceful protests in support of the ongoing farmers’ movement in India.

A non-bailable warrant was also issued against lawyer-activist Nikita Jacob and activist Shantanu in connection with the document that was earlier circulated by teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg.

The Wire‘s Seraj Ali breaks down what exactly the document is, and how toolkits have always been present historically, as part of almost every non-violent movement.
