Jaipur: Following Rajasthan governor Kalraj Mishra’s nod to hold an assembly session from August 14, chief minister Ashok Gehlot spoke to the media on Thursday and said, “Rates of horse trading have increased after a new assembly session has been announced. Earlier, the first instalment was Rs 10 crore and second, Rs 15 crore. Now, it’s unlimited.”
Gehlot also added that it’s not known if any MLA has collected the “first instalment”.
He accused Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati of taking the stand she did – issuing a whip to party members to vote against the Congress – at the behest of BJP.
“When BJP got 4 MPs of TDP merged in Rajya Sabha overnight, it was correct but when 6 MLAs of BSP in Rajasthan merged with Congress, it is wrong. Behenji has been put forward by the BJP and she is making statements at its behest. She is afraid. The way the BJP is misusing the CBI-ED-income tax, and threatening everyone, and what is happening in Rajasthan everyone knows,” Gehlot tweeted.

A day after Gehlot made these statements, the MLAs of his camp, who were staying at Fairmont hotel on the Jaipur- Delhi Highway since the political crisis began, were moved to Jaisalmer on Friday.
Meanwhile, Gehlot has called the rebel MLAs to stand with the party during the floor test.
