The series Bad Boy Billionaires finally made it to Netflix after some legal challenges and instantly became a hit. The stories of three tycoons – Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi and Subrata Roy (a fourth, on Ramalinga Raju has not been shown due to a court stay order) – who fell foul of the law are told compellingly.
In a podcast discussion with Sidharth Bhatia, Dylan Mohan Gray, who directed the episode on Mallya, talks about how he went about shooting it and getting ex-employees and friends to open up, and says that the film was supposed to be longer than it is.
