The farmers’ protest at the borders of Delhi has completed 100 days, as the movement which began in November last year continues to be in full force.
Vishal Jaiswal talks to Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait, who was credited with providing new vigour to the movement after the violence on Republic Day during the tractor rally.
He says that the movement has made some ideological demands and it will not end before those demands are met.
Among the demands that the farmers’ union have made are a repeal of the three Central laws and making the minimum support price (MSP) regime a legal right.
