An advertisement for AU Bank recently sparked controversy after Narottam Mishra, the Madhya Pradesh home minister, said that it hurts the religious sentiments of a particular community and that he should respect “Indian culture”. He asked Aamir Khan, who was part of the advertisement, not to appear in such commercials. Due to Mishra’s statements and the controversy, AU Bank was compelled to take down the advertisement.
