Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party president and former Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister Om Prakash Rajbhar told The Wire that more leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will quit the party ahead of the elections.

In conversation with Arfa Khanum Sherwani, Rajbhar claimed that by January 20, over a dozen ministers and MLAs would resign from the BJP and join the Samajwadi Party.

He said, “We Dalits will fight for backward education and employment, those who want to fight for the temple should fight for the temple.”
