In the kisan mahapanchayat of the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha in Lucknow’s Eco Garden on Monday, BKU spokesperson Rakesh Tikait announced that the farmers’ agitation would continue. He said that the announcement of “sangram vishram” was made by the Union government and not by the farmers. There are many issues – like making minimum support price (MSP) a legally enforceable right – which still need to be resolved before the movement will end.
