New Delhi: Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis will hold the home department portfolio. Deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde is the urban development minister, while the other deputy chief minister, Ajit Pawar, has got the finance ministry.
According to Indian Express, Fadnavis will also be the incharge of energy (excluding renewable energy), law & judiciary and general administration, information & publicity departments. The portfolio allocation was done on Saturday, December 21.
Shinde also got two more ministries – housing and public works (public enterprises). In addition to the finance, Pawar has also been allocated the state excise portfolio.

According to the Economic Times, BJP leaders Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil and Girish Mahajan will hold the revenue ministry, water resources (Godavari and Krishna Valley Development Corporation) ministry and water resources (Vidarbha, Tapi and Konkan Development Corporation) ministry, respectively. Mahajan also got disaster management department.
Chandrakant Patil will hold ministries for higher and technical education and parliament affairs while Ganesh Naik will hold forests portfolio. Pankaja Munde will be minister for environment and climate change as well as animal husbandry. Nitesh Rane, Ashok Uike, and Ashish Shelar will be ministers of fisheries and ports, tribal development, information technology and cultural affairs and rural development, respectively.
Jaykumar Gore got rural development and panchayati raj, Sanjay Savkare got textiles, and Akash Fundkar got labour department.

Shiv Sena MLAs Gulabrao Patil got the water supply and sanitation department. Other Sena MLAs to become part of the Mahayuti government cabinet are Dadaji Bhuse (School Education department) and Sanjay Rathod (Soil and Water conservation department).
Uday Samant, Shambhuraj Desai, Sanjay Shirsat, Bharat Gogawale and Prakash Abitkar got industries and Marathi language; tourism, mining and ex-servicemen welfare; employment guarantee, horticulture, salt pan lands development; and public health and family welfare departments respectively.
Nationalist Congress Party MLA Hasan Mushrif retained the medical education department and Dhanjay Munde got food, civil supplies & consumer protection portfolio. Earlier, Chhagan Bhujbal, who had been dropped from the latest cabinet, was in charge of Munde’s current portfolio . Other NCP MLAs, who were inducted in the cabinet include Babasaheb Patil, Aditi Tatkare and Makarand Jadhav (Patil).
