New Delhi: The Finance Ministry, on Tuesday, denied the demand of nearly one lakh army personnel for higher Military Service Pay (MSP), including Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), according to PTI.
Anguished over the decision, the army said that it will take up the matter with the government and ask it to review its decision to deny their long-standing demand for higher MSP.
It is estimated that around one lakh personnel, including 87,646 JCOs and 25,434 personnel from the Indian Air Force and Navy will be adversely affected by the decision, reported PTI.
The MSP was introduced to the services in acknowledgement of their unique service conditions and hardships.
