Full Schedule of Election Dates in Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry

Held through March and April, the election process will end in the beginning of May.

New Delhi: The Election Commission announced the schedule for assembly polls in Tamil Nadu, Assam, Kerala, West Bengal and the Union Territory of Puducherry.

Held through March and April, the election process will end in the beginning of May, with counting scheduled to start on May 2.

All four states and the UT will see a significant rise in polling stations considering COVID-19 regulations.

Below are the state and UT-wise breakdown of election dates.

Puducherry (single phase): 

March 12: Issue of notification

March 19: Last date of filing nominations

March 20: Scrutiny of nomination

March 22: Last date for withdrawal of candidature

April 6: Date of polling

Tamil Nadu (single phase): 

March 12: Issue of notification
