In August, Union home minister Amit Shah has also tested positive for COVID-19, and underwent treatment at AIIMS in New Delhi. Shah was admitted to the hospital again on Saturday evening, two days before the start of the monsoon session of parliament.
At least 29 members of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha tested positive on September 13, the eve of the start of the session, most of whom are BJP MPs, including minister of state for railways Suresh Angadi and Delhi BJP MPs Meenakshi Lekhi and Pravesh Verma.
