New Delhi: Rocketry: The Nambi Effect won the National Award for best feature film at the 69th National Film Awards on Thursday (August 24) evening.
Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon shared the best actress prize for their roles in Gangubai Kathiawadi and Mimi, while Allu Arjun won best actor for the Telugu film Pushpa: The Rise (Part I).
Pankaj Tripathi was named best supporting actor for Mimi, and Pallavi Joshi the best supporting actress for The Kashmir Files.
The controversial film The Kashmir Files won the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Film on National Integration. It has been criticised by several viewers and critics as stereotyping Muslims and portraying the entire community as violent.
Sardar Udham directed by Shoojit Sircar also won several prizes, including Best Hindi Film, Best Cinematography (Avik Mukhopadhyay), Best Audiography (Sinoy Joseph), Best Production Design (Dmitrii Malich and Mansi Dhruv Mehta) and Best Costume Design (Veera Kapur Ee).
The Telugu version of RRR won the award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
