The farmers’ leader spoke to ‘The Wire’ exclusively on a range of issues concerning farmers’ protest and their upcoming strategy.

Farmers who have been protesting on the Delhi borders for more than six months have now decided to stage a demonstration outside the parliament from July 22. The monsoon session of parliament is scheduled from July 19 to August 13.

Speaking exclusively to The Wire, farmers’ union leader Rakesh Tikait said that about 100 protesters would leave in buses from Delhi borders. He also spoke on a range of issues, including on farmers’ campaign in Uttar Pradesh to stop the BJP from coming back to power in the state in the 2022 assembly elections.
