Meerut: More than 100 women who cook mid-day meals in schools around Meerut in Uttar Pradesh have been protesting for around 20 days against exploitative works conditions and lack of social security and healthcare benefits. They recently assembled in front of the Divisional Commissioner’s office to submit a petition listing their demands but had to return without any substantiative assurance, like many times before.
